Artificial Intelligence with Games

AI is being put to use just about everywhere. From the foods we eat to the beds we sleep in, we live in an era when advanced technology is everywhere. The world of entertainment is no exception. New technologies and technological features are being added every day to the games we play. These games aren’t just a hobby, they’re a playground where Generation Z is developing the skills it will use to shape the future of technology. At the Tekhnelogos family, we want to support young talent in realizing its potential, and one of the ways we do this is by rewarding them for their achievements.

    An Arena of Minds: Quixo

Quixo is a game that develops strategic thinking and is designed to be played with two or four people aged 8 and older. It is played on a 5 × 5 flat wooden game board with 25 wooden cubes. The cubes have six faces, four of which are blank; the remaining faces have an X on one side and O on the opposite side.

The goal of the game is to make a line of five Xs or Os. Cubes are lined up on the board with their blank faces up, and the game begins. The players choose which player or team gets the X and which gets the O, and the Xs make the first move. Moves can be made by moving cubes horizontally or vertically.

At Tekhnelogos, we have created a wonderful opportunity for talented minds interested in artificial intelligence. In collaboration with MEF University, we have created a web-based competition platform specially prepared for the game Quixo. On this platform, our visitors compete against one another with artificial intelligence codes they have written to play Quixo. Codes that meet the standards will first be pre-qualified, and competitors who pass the qualification stage will be eligible to participate in the tournament. At the end of the tournament, the contestants who are in the top three are awarded cash prizes and awards.

For those who visit the Quixo Cup website, a list of different options are available. Players can play either against each other or against an AI code at their chosen level. The game rules and conditions for participation in the tournament are on the website. For pre-registration, just fill out the contact form.
